I ran across some of your exchanges on Rootsweb concerning the Boyce/Buyce family in NY and I believe that our interests in this family correspond. My wife had an uncle "cousin" (southern style - he was really her second cousin) Rev Herbert Boyce Satcher of Philadelphia. In the 1960s he gave his collection of material on this and the Gallman family of Edgefield Co., SC to Jean's mother, his first cousin as his nearest relation. My wife has little interest in genealogy but I have tried to keep up with some research on her family and my own. The connection to the Boyce family comes to my wife through her Grandmother, Gertrude Breckenridge Boyce (1872-1957); her father, Henry Gallman Boyce (1845, Edgefield, SC-1921, Nelson Co., VA); his father, Sidney Smith Boyce (1809, Malta, Saratoga, Co., NY-1891,Edgefield Co., SC), son of Jacob Buys/Boyce, 1786, Tarrytown, NY-1834, Malta, Saratoga Co, NY, buried at Sleepy Hollow Cemetery. I have a collection of letters covering these generations and information put together mostly by the late Rev. Satcher. In addition, in the 1960s, I paid a professtional genealogist to prepare a record connecting these generations with the Buyce family that came to New Netherlands, then Bergen, through Adrien Pieterse Buys, born Tiel, Gelderland Province, North Brabant, Netherlands, to America in 1663, died Bergan.
