I am Looking for information on the relatives and descendents of my paternal 2xg-grandparents: Joseph Boyce (b: 1832, Edinburg, Scotland) & Mary [Barre/Barry] Boyce (b 1834, Ireland), both being childhood immigrants to Brooklyn, New York, in the early 1850s. (NOTE: It was long assumed in this family that Joseph was Irish, not Scot.)
Josephs Parents were Thomas Boyce -m- Elisabeth Aitchison (both 'of Edinburgh, Scotland' at their marriage in Sep 8, 1831).
Shortly after Joseph and Mary's marriage, these two settled (circa 1856-1857) in Chicago, Illinois. They had 11 children: Margaret (the only one born in NY) (m Robert Officer Newell), Elizabeth, Josephine, Mary (m William McEldowney), John(?), Anna, James (m Mabel Thompson), Jennie (m Mr. Wilkey), Ellen, Robert C. (m Bridget Blaney --see below), and another {unknown} child.
Their Youngest son, Robert Charles Boyce, had 12 chidren: Joseph [m Marie Joyce], Robert Jr. [m Loretta Deal], Walter [m Lillian Dullard], Mary [m1 Daniel Dowling & m2 Mr Waschke], Margaret [m Paul Schultz], Dorothy, Thomas [m Marie Campana], John [m Geraldine McGuire], James [m Lorraine Garvey Newell], Genevieve [m Carl Johnson], Frances [m Bernie Colbert] and William [m1 Louise Donovan & m2 Delores [--?--]].
