I am hoping to make contact with Melissa and the other persons in this thread as I am a Boice researcher workiing on this same line. My great grandmother was Catherine Jane Boice, daughter of William Henry Boice and wife of Jacob Runkel (dob 1843)and a Civil War Soldier. They lived in the Berne/Geneva/New Corydon part of Indiana. The line goes back to Johannes Buys. A group of "cousin" researchers have set up a web site and all are working together on this line. There is some confusion if Johannes' father was Aret Peitersen Buys or Jan Thyssen Buys . This is just one of the puzzles we are trying to solve. There are some great pictures on the site.
