First of all, how are you related and who is Sarah? Johannes Buys was not married to Sarah. I am a direct descendant of Johannes Buys and have a large compiled file on his lineage. If you are interested email me. I also have another email address to cc:

Also, he had no son named Peter. Johannes lived in Schenectady New York not Schoharie.
His parents were from the Dutch West Indies and Johannes was married in the dutch reform church in NYC. Please let me know where you recieved your information. I am publishing a book and this misinformation is vital to me.
