Hi Jennifer,
I checked the SS Death Records for 2003 for Biloxi, Miss. and he is not listed. If you know his SS# you can get a copy of his application for his SS#. That would give you his birth date, location of birth, parent's names and where he worked at the time he applied.
It would help if you knew his age and his wife's name. You can check a lot of things on Ancestry.com with that info and people would have more info to assist you.
