Have you been able to find any more about Nancy BOYCE and Abraham LANKFORD? They are my husband's ggg gparents. He is descended from their daughter Malinda Jane LANKFORD (1842-1921)and Andrew Jackson FOX Jr.
The only information I have is that the parents of Nancy BOYCE were Unknown BOYCE who came to NC from Ireland and Lucinda MOORE. I have no documentation. This is information that was gathered by a now-deceased family member some years ago.
Malinda J. LANKFORD FOX reported in her Confederate Widow's Pension Application that she was born in Greenville County, South Carolina. There is a record of her marriage to Andrew FOX in Cass/Bartow County GA on 11/13/1859. Malinda, A.J. FOX and her father Abraham LANKFORD (1815-1898) are all buried in Cedar Hill Cemetery, Leesburg, Chambers County, AL. There is no indication that Nancy BOYCE LANKFORD is buried there, so I assume that she had died earlier in GA.
I have pictures of a "cousin Julia" CASTIGAN who lived in Jefferson County, AL with a granddaughter of Nancy BOYCE and Abraham LANKFORD in 1920. She was born ca 1838 in SC and parents were born in SC. I think she must have been a daughter of one of the children of Nancy and Andrew. I haven't been able to learn anything else about her.
I would love to learn more about Nancy BOYCE and Abraham LANKFORD and their ancestors and descendents!
