I was doing some research in Little Falls, Herkimer Co, New York in the mid 1800s and ran across a David Boyce.

I was trying to find a James Boyce who had just immigrated from Ireland in 1854-1856 and worked in a flax mill in Little Falls .. I think he lived in Russia (village near Little Falls).
