Hello...looking for descendants of a William H. Boyce. At age 18, he enlisted in the 20th. Iowa Infantry. His military record states he was living in Cedar Rapids at time of enlistment. Born in New York. Enlisted into Company A. of the 20th. Iowa July 26, 1862. Mustered out July 8, 1865 at Mobile Bay, Alabama. In later years, in 1908, he is named as president of the 20th. Iowa Veterans Association. (from a 1908 Cedar Rapids newspaper)

Does anyone have this William H. Boyce in there family line? Know where he is buried?

There now is a 20th. Iowa Descendants Association..and we would like more information on the original Association if such exists.

Thanks very much...Steven C. Russell
