Michael,
I too am tracing a Thomas Boyes whose sons, Isaac and Robert were born in Chenango County, New York. Isaac is my ggg grandfather. All I can tell right now is that Thomas's wife was named Tryphena and the birthdates of both sons are identical to what you show. I too have located a Thomas Boyes (Boyce)in Hillsdale, Columbia County, New York, born in 1738, died in 1825. His "last Will and Testament" lists a bunch of kids of which Issac and Robert are named. Also, one of the daughters was Rachel. The spelling of Thomas's last name varies depending upon what census you look at. For example, in the 1800 U.S. Census for Hillsdale, he is shown as "Boyes". In the 1810 U.S. Census, it's spelled "Boyce". His tombstone inscription spells it "Boyes". I believe all spellings are the same person. Anyway, I'm still not certain this is the same Thomas Boyes I'm searching for, but it's the best I have so far. If you have any more information, please contact me.
Thanks.
Terry Boyes
