BOICE, Sterlin-Ky1810-40; STERLING;BROWN
Posted by: Harleigh Winkler Date: October 26, 1998 at 09:40:10

I thought I would post the following here in hopes someone might shed some light on Sterling BOYCE (BOICE/variations). Sorry for the attachments, but thought they might help towards this end!

Please post to this site, if appropriate, or directly to me.

Thank you,

Harleigh

>Good Morning Velma and Bertie:

>I'm trying to locate a Sterling BOYCE (BOICE and other variations) for a
>family member. Sterling was supposedly in the area of Mammoth Caves, Cave
>City, Barren, Warren and/or surrounding KY Counties during the period
>1810-1840. I was wondering if there may be a connection between Sterling
>BOYCE and the George Sterling SMITH in Velma's post below? It appears
>Sterling could possibly be a surname of George's mother. Maybe there was
>marriage between a BOYCE (BOICE, etc.) to a STERLING back there somewhere.

>I would appreciate any info. you or others on this site may have on any
>combination or possible connection with the above Sterling BOYCE, George
>Sterling SMITH or a STERLING m. BOYCE, STERLING m. SMITH or BOYCE m. SMITH.

>Thank you,

>Harleigh

>Dear Velma Sippie,

>Does your will for Daniel Boyce give a list of his children?
>Does it list a John Boyce? I'm still wandering around in
>the dark on finding my John Boyce b 1800 GA.

>I can't help but think the family could have been in SC
>before GA.

>Thanks for answering my note.
