Samuel Boyce Castleblayney, Co. Monaghan

I'm still searching for information on Samuel Boyce, b. Castleblayney abt. 1790, m. Agnes(s) McMahon (McMahan), b. Dublin abt. 1790 and emigrated to Westmoreland Co., New Brunswick around 1812. Have lots of info on Samuel's (my gg-grandfather) descendants, but nothing on his ancestry. Different branches of the family have differing lore on his life. My info is that he was a farmer, others say he was a teacher and known as "Professor". At any rate, he became a farmer after arriving in Canada. Agness may have been the daughter of a Scots Army officer serving in Ireland at the time of her birth. All speculation. I would greatly appreciate hearing from anyone with any information, and will be happy to share what I have.
