My paternal line goes back to 1673 New York via Netherlands. Name was originally Buis (with accent mark over "i")-& pronounced that spelling almost as biss our name has been spelled BoIce for three generations, although some family members of my 2nd great grandfather, John & second wife Mary Ann Barzee use the BoYce variation. Our BoI/Yce family came from Netherlands to New York to Canada then back into U.S. in 1830
