Actually, I have discovered that these men were more likely cousins and that they emigrated at different times between 1820-1824.

Thomas, his wife Mace or Alice, and son Josiah, appear to have used the name BOYES in Lincs, although all are buried in Marion Co., OH under the name BOYCE. On his tombstone, Josiah's birthplace is given as Boston, but I believe he was (at least) christened in Swineshead, Lincs. (I mean, would you put that on your tombstone?)

Cousin John and his wife, Jane Walker, all of whose children were christened in North Rauceby, Lincs, seem to have always used the surname BOYCE, as perhaps did cousin Isaiah, whose sole UK record I have discovered to date is his marriage to Sarah White in Ordsall Parish Church, Notts, but his home parish was Dunholme, Lincs.

Do these families connect at all with work anyone on this list is doing?

If so, please contact me.

Jim Boyce
