Hello, just as a point of interest I am looking for any descendants of Captain Manning (sorry no initials) who may have been in charge of a Chinese aresenal in 1900 in the Boxer Rebellion, China.

My ancestor John White (Australian Navy) mentions him in his wartime diary.

I believe the location was around Tientsin.

Please contact me if you would like to - I can provide you with a brief excerpt about Capt. Manning.
