Hi John,
it was my Maternal Grandfather who earned the china medal, I was left it as the first male in the line, his other medals are lost, I was fortunate enough to locate my Paternal Grandfathers medals through the internet, Gdad was English the medals went to Australia, were sold in England to a Gentleman in Brazil, they are now in my safe keeping, the gent that kindly sold me the medals really knows his stuff, for instance he has informed me that my china medal was a re-issue, the original having been lost when one of Gdads ships was lost, he also supplied me with a complete list of the other medals held.
