No Joyce, Allen M. and Patterson were not brothers.
Allen's siblings were: Lewis A.J., Lydia, Richard W., Thomas J., William L., Elizabeth, & Alabama Box.
In the Box Book by Ophelia Wade, she had placed Allen M. & Patterson Box into the household of John H. & Jane Box which was incorrect as far as Allen M. is concerned.
In our search we found Patterson and wife Artalissa in 1850 Blount County Ala., and then Patterson must have died and Artalissa was in the household of Peter Reynolds of Coosa County, Ala. in 1860 census.
Since we found Patterson was not in my direct line, we didn't do any further searching on him or Artalissa.
