I need to make some corrections on my earlier posting. I went to Ms. this summer on a fact finding mission. My great grand mothers name was Columbia Ann Hettie Boxx Lindsey. People called her Hettie or Lum. She was b. Dec. 7, 1888 & d. Oct. 11, 1983. She married William Wesley Lindsey. Samuel was her brother, not her father. He was b. June 1, 1880 & d.July 16, 1947. He married Liza Ellen (unknown maiden name). Their parents names were James Boxx b.Nov. 12, 1849 D. Jan. 18, 1939 and Barbara E. Boxx b. Dec. 7,1854 D. Feb. 4, 1934. I now believe Barbara may have been half indian not full. I still do not know from which tribe her ancestors decended from. James and Barbara also had duaghters Ruth, Bessie and sons, Arthur (died of blood poinsoning at age 10) and Landon (died as a toddler when a tree limb fell on him). Anyone out there who may have more information please contact me. Sorry for the earlier confusion.
