I'm looking for ancestors of Ava Collins Box, born 11/4/1883 and died 3/1978 in Cleburne, Johnson County, TX, that might have information about her husband, Walter H. McCanliss.
Ava and Walter were married in about 1911 and lived in the Dallas-Ft. Worth area. They had three children, Roy Lee McCanliss, Horace Kay McCanliss and Lonny Box McCanliss. I have accurate information on all the kids.
Ava and Walter separated in about 1927 after the death of Horace. Walter later married Opal Walker in Banner, Oklahoma. I am from that line.
Walter was always a mystery to the family. Now I'm trying to discover who his parents were. His father was probably born between 1836 and 1886 in Texas.
I don't know if Ava had brothers and sisters. She may have been a Seventh Day Adventist.
Any information about Ava and Walter would be greatly appreciated.
