Thank you for all the detailed posts. I see that Abraham Box, son of John Box (d. circa 1815) had a daughter Molly (Mary) BOX Smith in his will. Therefore, the Mary that I am researcing who married Jacob W. Gibson 2 Sept 1784 in Laurens Co., SC is probably not the daughter of John. Abraham, son of John (died 1815), had a daughter Mary who married 1) William Spencer and 2) Elisha Stewart, so Mary BOX Gibson is probably not the daughter of Abraham, son of John. Is she possibly the widow of a Gibson who died before 1784? Robert Gibson, son of John (deceased 1815) and married to Mary WILLIAMS, died after 1784, I have just read. Does anyone know the daughters of Abraham's brothers: Shadrack, Robert, and Benjamin? Jacob W. and Mary BOX Gibson had sons named Abraham and John! Any help would be greatly appreciated. (Maybe Robert Gibson who married Mary WILLIAMS did NOT die after 1784.)
