John Box, Jr. of Laurens District SC is a presumed son of John Box, Sr. The only documentation of this John Box, Jr. is a land plat dated November 28, 1804, for 164 acres on branches of Raburns Creek in Laurens District SC. This would establish his birth as before 1788 and he would probably be the male born after 1775 in the household of the elder John Box of 1790 Census of Laurens District. His absence in the will of John Box (Sr.) indicates he died before November 22, 1815, the date the will was written. The will also suggests his wife was Jemima Box, mother of Rachel and Louisa Box. He apparently died between 1807, when his father sold land as John Box, Sr. and 1815 when his father wrote his will as John Box.
