A group of us have been tracing the travels of Andrew and Rebecca Box Jones from Laurens Co. SC to Pike Co. AR (Andrew died in Pontotoc Co. MS) and we find no indication she was ever in Choctaw territory. We also believe that if her descendants have an Indian heritage, it will be from Andrew Jones, not Rebecca Box. we have found no documentation that suggests she was the daughter Edward Box, b. 1754. If anyone has documentation or oral history to suggest otherwise, please make it available.
