I am very interested in the Box-Matthews connections. The Matthews family keeps cropping up in my Box/Baldwin families in Texas.

Elizabeth Matthews who married James Francis Box.
Mary E. Matthews who married James Jackson Box.
George V. Matthews (father John E. Matthews) who married Mittie Jane Baldwin.

Also mentioned in family papers are a Joseph Matthews and a Penina Matthews.
