I know you posted your letter a few years ago. Your
Nicholas Box, his wife was Margaretha Bertha Mehrkam,( her
last name i've seen spelled different ways ) Nicholas'
father was Nicholas Bachs( it was changed to Box ) his wife was Barbara Mayer, they were my gr-gr-gr-gr-gr-grandparents and they come from Pennsylvania.Your Nicholas was born in Upper Saucon Twp., Northampton Co., PA and died in Towamwnsing Twp., Northampton ( Now Carbon) County,
Pennsylvania. Your Nicholas, Jr. his sister Elizabeth Box was married to Isaac Smith of Kunkletown, Northampton ( Now Monroe County, Pennsylvania. They were my gr-gr-gr-gr
grandparents. I seen some where thay Nicholas died in Carbon Co., PA and his wife Margaretha ( Margaret ) went to
Sandusky Co., Ohio with some other family.
If you are still out there i would like to hear about the ancesters in ohio and Michigan. i can tell you dates of some of the Box family. This Box family does not come from New York. Your distant cousin, Linda Mackes Bartos
