I've found a land record in the Laurens Co. land records which might connect Robert Box back to Green Co./Wayne Co. North Carolina. Here's the record: Laurens County, S.C. Deed Book B page 398: 19-Mar. 1789 - 24 Mar. 1789: Robert Box appoints three trust friends, Adonijah (sic) Morgan, Col. George Dohertie (sic) & Robert Camble (sic) all of Green Co., N.C. his attorneys to execute deed to Thomas Davis for 100 acres of land in sd co. entered in Washington (I believe this should be Wayne) on Camp Creek on Lewis Morgan's line. Wit: Jas. Cuningham, John Jones, John Abercromby, John Rodgers, J.P. Green/Wayne were formerly Dobbs, Johnston, Lenoir, Glasgow and Craven Counties and I'm unable to find the specific creek which is mentioned in the record. On the Wayne Co. NC genweb site (I think) I found a Thomas and Samuel Box having land there in 1757 and 1758. It was for Johnston/Dobbs and Lenoir Counties. Do you know anything about a North Carolina connection? Thank you! Notify Administrator about this message?
