Early Box's in Virginia 1600-1700

In researching in talking with others I found two stories of the box line in the early years. Anyone have ideas on which is true or if it is a combination.
1) John Box married to Mary B1599, came to US on Truelove
Son John b1625 Isle of wight VA
Son John b1670 Warrosquyoake,Isle of wight VA married Rachel
Son Robert b1691

2) John Box married to Mary Brocus B1599, came to US on Truelove
Had Son: Thomas, and Daughter Mary
had son Robert b1691

Anyone heard of the Son Thomas and daughter mary side of the story, or heard of the name Brucus. Any ideas the true path from Robert (1691) back to John of 1599.
Any ideas would be helpful.
