James Jackson Box, son of James Francis Box who came to TX in Jan 1835. Killed 1866 by Kiowa Indians outside of St. Jo, Montague Co. TX. Wife and Three daughters were abducted. One daughter died in captivity and wife and two daughters later returned after a harrowing experience. There are about 5 write ups on the incident. All differ some, but basic details are the same. He was my gguncle. I am a decendent of John Chisholm Box, a younger brother.
