Hello, my gggrandfather Alexander Bowyer, born 1840. I have a hard time time in locating his parents. I have reports that he ran away to IN to join the war so his birth could be PA, IN, VA or TN. I just found a 1850 census from Monroe, VA that states him with a father of Philip Bowyer, ggrandfather of Reuben Bowyer, grandfather of Adam Bowyer. The dates fit but I want to make sure. Does anyone know Philip's children information on a son, Alexander who was born in 1840? Thank you so much.
