I have Abraham Bowyer as the man who started Bowyers in Trowbridge, Wiltshire. I read one account that said he started his business in 1808 as a grocer. He became a bacon curer. His wife was Esther Markes. Abraham had sons Jabez 1817, John 1819, and Elijah 1821. There may have been more children; I didn't find them.
