I was watching a documentery about the start of the civil war, on PBS (WFYI Indiana). It said that a man named Phillippa Bowyer was the last man killed by his slaves before the war started. He had sent his wife and children to saftey. I have not seen this name any where else in my research.
PBS offers a number to order tapes, but I don't have it
