Joacb Bowyer of Monroe Co., VA- where in 1840??

Does anyone using this forun know if Jacob Bowyer (wife Mary Reid) and family were in Monroe County, VA in 1840? I have found a family that I assume is this one in Monroe in 1830, but not there in 1840. I have found a Jacob Bowyer family, that fits very nicely with this one, in 1840 in Ohio. Would anyone doing research know if this is the same family? Also, would any Bowyer researcher know if this family also had a daughter named Margaret? There was not a Margaret with them in 1850 census, but I have found a Margaret Bowyer, age 24, with a Joseph Sims family in Highland County, VA in the 1850 census.

I am still searching for my ggrandmother, Mary Frances Collins, who was the daughter of Jacob and Mary's daughter Harriet. Mary Frances was not with her family in Scott County, VA in 1860. I have found a Mary F. Collins, age 3, with a George Weaver (wife name Margaret) in Rockingham Co., VA in 1860. Long shot I know and can probably never prove, but I would really like to find Mary Frances.

Thanks for any and all help; and for reading through this long message
