John (maybe Allen--haven't found proof)Head was son of Spencer and Anne Beeman Head. Spencer md. Anne Beeman 16 Jan 1813 in Anson Co. NC, d. 20 Oct 1852, Bedford Co. TN. John was b. abt 1823, NC, md. Elizabeth Pipkin 2 June 1840 in Maury Co. TN, d. 29 May 1896,Barry Co. MO. Elizabeth died 1850-1858 and John md. 2nd Polly (Mary)Bowyer, daughter of Elias and Patsy Bowyer. You have children of John and Elizabeth wrong but am interested in where you got Gracie and Basil. I don't find them. John and Elizabeth Head in Maury Co. TN census for 1850. His children are Mary Ann b. 11 Nov 1841; James S. b. 11 Apr 1845; Tennessee b. 21 Mar 1848 and Richard S. b. abt 1849. John md Polly (Mary) Bowyer 12 Oct 1858, Greene Co. MO (area became Christian Co.) The md licence has strange spellings but I believe this is correct date. He and Polly appear on 1860 census of Christian Co. MO. In 1870 on census of Carroll Co. AR. Children from 2nd marriage: Henderson who died young; Mahala Anne md Parrington Packwood; Josephine md William Hydra Holman; John Allen md Dottie McGill; Young (Finius Coleman); and Louisa.
