I also have a Bowser connection to Halifax County. My grandmother's, great grandmother was Frances Thompson nee Bowser. She was born in 1848 in Ohio but she quotes that her father and mother were born in North Carolina. His name was James Bowser and her mom's name we just know as "N". We have the Halifax connection because of personal stories from here.
