The following information relates to my ancestors:
John Bowser Sr., Esq. c.1801-Dec.21, 1878 Chief Magistrate
Sarah (Blaken?)Bowser c.1797-Apr. 1, 1879
Emigrated to Buctouche, NB c. 1819 from Hull, England
They had 8 sons: William married Margaret Gordon; Edwin; Henry; Charles; James Harry; John Jr.; Robert; and Walkington. William's children included William, Premier of BC and Frank (both lived in BC), Dr. J.C.Bowser of Chicago; Sarah, John and Jessie. There may have been 1 or 2 other children.John Bowser Jr.(1828-Sep 5, 1903) was my ggg-grandfather.He married Flora Ann Morrison(1832-Feb. 20, 1863). I have found no connection to the Bowsers of Sackville, NB who came during the Yorkshire Migration and my ancestors whocame many years later... although they came from the same area of England.John Bowser Sr. had a brother William Bowser (I assume that John named his son after his brother). The elder William Bowser had emigrated to Canada. He lived in Kent County as well as Saint John, NB before returning to Hull, England where he died on Nov. 29, 1876 at the age of 80 years.Does any of this fit in with the information you have?
