When doing some family research a few months ago, I found a set of Weimers in Somerset County PA related to my maternal grandfather. I did not pursue it much other than add the information to my gedcom, verified it, and went on.
A few months later I found another set of Weimers this time on my paternal grandmothers side, also in Somerset County, PA. Now I am intrigued. I believe this is too much of a coincidence to just be two separate families, and I would like to connect them somehow, but a lot of information still remains uncovered.
Christina Weimer b. 1740 d. 1826 married to John Bowser
Jacob Weimer married to Susannah Shaffer
John Weimer d 06/23/1812 married to Maria Schneider
Does anyone have references to these people in your files - any help would be appreciated.
