My great grandfather was William Bowering who came to South Australia in 1849.
His brother Jonathan was my other great grandfather.
They were the sons of Richard and Elizabeth Bowring/Bowering (nee England) who came to South Australia in 1851 with the rest of the family.
I am researching the whole family and know of all of the Australian connection and am now helping to establish the connection with Richard's brother James in Newfoundland, of which I have a great deal of information.
