Forgive me if it is not appropriate to make contact on an old messasge - I am new to Genealogy. I noticed you were tying your Alfred up with Nathaniel Bowring b1789. After a struggle I think I have located him on 1851 UK census under Bowling (yes, L not R in middle) I'm trying to locate baptism records for Alfred's sister Emily - made no progress. Any luck in that direction yourself? Chris
