I am searching for information on my Bowring Family.Charles Bowring married Rachell Watts 1813. Rachel was from the London area. Charles Bowring and wife Rachell emigrated to Quebec when Sarah Ann was about 9 years old, which would be about 1845. A photograph of Sarah Ann is stamped with Richmond, Quebec, so they must have lived close to there. Children of Charles Bowring and Rachell Watts George Watts Bowring Ruth Elizabeth Bowring John William Bowring *Sarah Ann Bowring b. 1836 Martinstown, Dorsetshire, England; married William Clark [Sarah Ann is my great great grandmother] In the family bible was a large ribbon with a bit of hair tied to it and the words Isic Bowring Sarah McCartney (Sarah married a McCartney when Wm. Clark died Grandfather. At this time is seems like Isic Bowring would possibly be Sarah's grandfather. One or two of the Bowring boys, George Watts Bowring or John William Bowring, had children: George H. Bowring and Walter Bowring. These two are either brothers or cousins. I do know that they are nephews to Sarah Ann.
