Hi all. I'm new to this and halfway around the world so hoping someone can help. I am looking for information about my grandmother whose name was Maud Bowman. She married George C Allen on 6 September 1899 in Hancock County Illinois. I know from census records that she was born in Iowa in October 1882, died in Bently Illinois in 1957, and that her father and mother were born in Indiana. There is a bit of a mystery about her in my family - hence the lack of information. My mother thinks Maud's parents might not have approved of the marriage. Anyway, if anybody out there can help, it would be much appreciated.
