William Bowman b. 1806 SC or GA. Married Martha "Patsy" Scott in 1852 in Coosa Co., AL. Lived in Talladega Co., 1860 & 1870. Moved to Bibb Co., AL 1870-80. Died 1880 Bibb Co.

2) Lucinda M. b. 1855 m. Newman T. Bowman (son of Robert Bowman) 1870 in Talladega Co.
3) Missouri E. b. 1859 m. Crawford Champion 1880 Bibb Co.
4) John F. b. 1861 m. Jessie ?
5) Joseph b. 1863 d. 1887
6) Alabama b. 1866 m. Robert Stevens 1885 Bibb Co.
7) Marietta b. 1868 m. John Shaw 1900 Bibb Co.
Martha Scott was probably William's 2nd wife. Haven't found William prior to 1852 marriage. There is a William Bowman in Shelby Co. 1850 census:
Bowman, William -45 b. ~1805 GA
, Nancy - 16 b. GA
, Gibson - 14 b. GA
, Ann - 10 or 12 b. GA
, Peter 9 b. GA
, Joanora -65 b. SC
Could this be my William? Does anyone have any information on this Shelby Co. William Bowman family?
