A biography/family history of Thomas E. Bowman is included in "Montana, Its Story and Biography", Vol 3, pages 1149 & 1150. Parents: William, Jr. and Mary E. (Evans) Bowman. William was born 25 Apr 1833, Kingston, TN, son of William Bowman, Sr. who was born in Virginia and was a pioneer settler of Tennessee, married to Mary Bacon.
William Bowman, Jr., married Mary E. Evans, daughter of Patrick and Rebecca Evans. She died in Spearfish, SD, 1912. Their children: Thomas E. (Medicine Lake, MT); Elijah P. (Meeteetsee, WY); Rosseau P. (Phoenix, AZ); John C. (Phoenix, AZ), Cortelia M. (Mrs. William C. Foster, Phoenix, AZ).
On 16 Oct 1893, Deadwood, SD, Thomas E. married Mrs Della (Hanson) Bond, b. 1 Aug 1859, Keokuk, IA, daughter of John W. & Demarius Hanson.
