I am not a BOWMAN researcher but I have the following information from p. 66 of the Mahoning Co. OH, Probate Records, Cases probated between 1/13/1857-12/31/1867.
#1065 BOWMAN, John, Bond: 15 Apr 1864, Youngstown Twp.
Adm. Joshua Kyle; Bond: $5,000; Dec'd owned land
Heirs: Barbara Ann Kyle; John Jackson Bowman [heir of Robert Bowman, dec'd]; Robert Bowman [of Kingston, GA; not dec'd]; Mary E. Rounds, of Medina; J.M. Bowman, of Wheatland Furnace, PA; Samuel Bowman, H.H. Bowman; Margaret J. Manning, all of Medina [Ohio]; J.W. Bowman, Florence, Robert, John B. & George Hall, all of Warrenton, Ohio [gdn E.B. Yost]; John S. Bowman, of Bedford, Michigan; Hiram H. Bowman Jr. & Benjamin Franklin Bowman, of Urbana, Illinois [gdn Addison Alcott].
Tombstones were erected for John & Jane Bowman.
