Has anyone documented who Thornberry Bowling's mother was? Thornberry was born in 1777 in Orange Virginia and moved to Oglethorpe GA with his family. His father was John Bollen and Ursula Bell Wisdom. He was married first to Lucy Rainey and had several children and then married Mary Ann Aycock Wright after Lucy's death. They had Emily b. 1830, Penelope b. 1832 and Thornberry Jackson b. 1834. TJ and wife Mary Elizabeth Smith had Mary Anna b. 1861, George b. 1863, Joseph Smith b. 1866, Harriett Newell b. 1867, Thomas T. b. 1869, Walter G. b. 1872, William Franklin b. 1877 and Harry b. 1881. Anna Bowling was widowed with a child when she married Charles Berry and raised his children as well as taking in Hallie's children after Hallie died in 1905. (Elizabeth Virginia Branch (Mansfield) b. 1896, Helen Bowling Branch (Foppert) b. 1900, and Walter Legree Branch b. 1903 who married Martha Kanthack
