My Bowling ancesters were in Carroll Co. GA in 1850 and 1860. Samuel and Elizabeth Bowling in 1850. Were in Monroe Co.TN from 1819 to after 1830 then to Randolph Co. Al in 1840 and Carroll CO. GA in 1850. Elizabeth died before 1860. Samuel was 80 living with son Daniel in 1860 Daniel went to war and Samuel lived with son David and died in 1863. My gggrandfather another son Nathaniel b. 1823 TN was also living in Carroll Co. in 1850 & 60. They lost their land and went to Al. I think there were other members of the family in the Carroll Co. area but don't know names. There was a Sanford Bowling m. Mahala Gordy in Upson Co. GA in 1855 may have been a connection. This Bowling family may have been in Spartenburg SC before going to TN. The Bolling Family Association has a DNA project and my line is in group 6. Group 6 has a web site and does the main Association which in www.bolling.net
