Hi. Your first inclination was correct - Pallas was the son of Bad Eli Bolin and Nancy Herd. Here is a document that I transcribed that says he and his brother Eli were the heirs at law of Eli: Pallis & Eli Bowlin to John Oxford Clay County, KY, Deed Book D Page 126, 3 June 1850 Know all men by these presents that we Pallis Bowlin and Eli Bowlin heirs at law of Elijah Bowlin dec’d and brothers of the same have this day bargained and sold unto John Oxford all our claim in and to our part of the estate of the said Elijah Bowling dec’d for value received hereby authorizing him to sue for arbitrat and settle same estate either personal or real the same in any way he may think proper in the (illegible) and to receive the same and apply the same to his benefit Given under our hands and seals this 3rd day of June 1850. Pallis Bowling (Seal) Eli Bowling (Seal) State of Kentucky Clay County Set. I, William Woodcock Clerk of the County Court aforesaid certify that transfer from Pallas Bowling and Eli Bowling to John Oxford was this day produced to me in my office and acknowledged by the said Bowlings to be their act and deed for the purposes therein named. Whereupon the same is duly admitted to record in my office. Given under my hand this 3rd day of June 1850. Att.
