I believe I am getting somewhere and would love someone to take this challenge up. When I looked at Susannah's age on the 1850 census with husband, Henry Bowlin, in Pike, Ky I found her to be 32...NOT 22. This led me to think of a previous marriage for her and that George W., Minerva J., and Rebecca V were her children and not siblings. In hunting around I found a mg of Daniel Adkins to Susannah Fry April 1836 by Theophilus Powell. This works well for the children's ages. It is my thought that Susannah and Andrew Jackson Fry are related (siblings?. This explaining at least one relationship for him (Fry) and Henry. I need to verify a divorce between Susannah and Daniel or Daniel's death to prove this idea.
Theophilis Powell (I suspect) is related to George Powell who md Hannah Osborn (1st cousin of Henry). I will be working on thisas time allows. Hope to hear from someone soon. Not a lot of resources for me to amuse myself with...nor travel/research time.
One more thought. There IS the possibility that Daniel Adkins and John Adkins (md to Millie Bowlin, sister of Henry)were related (brothers?).
