I do not know his parents but do know that he was living in Barnwell Dist SC in the 1800 census.

There is some question as to whether he is a brother of Edward Bowlin/Bolin of Orangeburg Dist SC (county next door to Barnwell). Edward came to America from Ireland 1774 or so.

This is a difficult line.
What is your descent?
