Isaac Herbert Bowles, born 16 Oct 1889 in Tennessee, died 21 Dec 1940 in Caldwell County TX. He parents were identified as James G. Bowles, born in TN, and Sallie Lee Cokley, born in NC. This is almost certainly a son of Gabe and Sallie Bowles, and is listed at home with them in the 1910 census. This information is from his death certificate.
Also, I found a marriage record for James G. Bowles and Sallie L. Coakley on 10 Mar 1881 in Cocke County TN.
Finally, I found a Sallie L. Coakley in Union County SC in the 1880 census. She was living with her brother Thomas and his family. Also there was their mother Sarah, age 52. Sallie was 16 and her brother was 24. Although they were in SC, the census showed that all three were born in NC.
