Thanks; Getting a lead to Elisha's parents is my #1 objective. So far (20 yrs) have had no luck. Elizabeth Chapman Bowles father was John Chapman who owned property in and probably lived and died in Cumberland Co., Va. Elisha and John Chapman's son Elizabeth's brother) Nathan apparently enlisted together for ARW in early 1779 at Cumberland Co.
