Sarah J. Ross
Funeral services for Mrs. Sarah Joyce (Bowler) Ross, 68, wife of Norman D. Ross, Sr. were held at 2 p.m. on Monday in the First Baptist Church of Dewey with Rev. Mark Wright and Rev. Tom Cox as officiants. Committal prayers and interment were directed in Matoaka Cemetery by the Arnold Moore Funeral Service.
Casket bearers included Messrs. Steve McNair, 1st Lt. Joseph McNair, Doug Nickerson, Ryan Gott, Les Reynolds and Robert Leach.
Surviving Mrs. Ross are her husband, Norman D. Ross, Sr., of the home; her son, Norman D. “Nug” Ross, Jr., Tulsa, Oklahoma; her daughter, Stephanie Anna Buckland and her husband, Guy, Bartlesville; her mother, Mrs. Pearl (Scullawl) Bowler; three granddaughters, Jessica and Jordyn Buckland, Julia Gott and her husband, Ryan; a great granddaughter, Kylie Bales; her sisters, Jacqueline Jo Watts and her husband, Lee, Anita Louise McNair and her husband, Michael, all of Bartlesville; and an aunt, Eleanor Pratt, Gretna, Nebraska.
A memorial has been established with the American Diabetes Association. Friends who wish may forward their gift to A.D.A. Oklahoma Affiliate, 1211 North Shartel, Suite 603, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma 73103.
