Hello. I have borrowed the Bowler book, by np bowler, 1904. I have a TRUSLOW who's married into this line. In the book, it states:

Reuben, son of charges and elizabeth (donohue) bowler, b. 8/9/1800 in caroline county, Va, m. abt 1819 to mildred jones. she d. abt 1834. he m. (2nd) 1835, hannah, dau. of john and elizabeth (cole) garner. Reuben died 5/10/1856.

william walker, b, 4/19/1820
basil thornton, b. 10/18/1822 d. 1843
julia ann, b. 8/31/1824
Charles henry, b. 9/21/1826 d. 10/25/1846
Reuben Francis, b. 3/1/1828

Children by the 2nd marriage:
mary ann margaret, b. 8/26/1836
hanna elizabeth, b. 7/29/1838

douglas gordon, b. 1851 d. 10/17/1858
